One of the largest exhibitions in the South African region, the
Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), is postponed to
23-27 August 2021. This decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers in connection with the increase in the number of cases of COVID-19 in the country.
Recall that the exhibition was originally planned to be held in April, after which it was postponed to July 2021 due to the epidemiological situation. According to the head of ZITF, Mr. Busis Moyo: “The company believes that holding the exhibition on the previously designated dates, July 20-23, 2021, poses a significant risk for exhibitors, given the current high number of new cases of COVID-19 infection in the country."
11 countries have already confirmed their participation. Among them are Angola, Belarus, Botswana, Indonesia, Japan, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa and Tanzania.
This year's ZITF will be held in accordance with stringent safety standards. Exhibition theme: "Demonstration of new norms for business and industry: realities and opportunities".
