Prospects for Belarusian-Emirate cooperation

Prospects for Belarusian-Emirate cooperation in the food sector are discussed at the Gulfood 2021. The Belarusian business delegation had several meetings with heads of the Emirati ministries.

The Chairman of the BelCCI Vladimir Ulakhovich discussed the strengthening the Halal certification system in Belarus and holding a training seminar on the requirements for Halal certification by the Emirati side with the Deputy Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies of the UAE Omar Al Suwaidi.

Bilateral cooperation about the accreditation of Belarusian enterprises for products supply to the UAE market was discussed with the Minister of Climate Change and Environment of the UAE Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi. The Minister received an invitation to visit Belarus and participate in the Belagro expo (Minsk, June 1-5, 2021).

The invitation to visit the Belagro expo was given to the Minister of State for Food Security in the UAE Mariam Al Mehairi. At the meeting the parties discussed the issues of attracting Emirati investments into Belarusian agriculture.
