National Pavilion of Belarus Featured at the China International Import Expo
The national pavilion of the Republic of Belarus is on display at the Fourth China International Import Expo (CIIE) that opened on November 4 in Shanghai.
The exposition is organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The exhibition company is Exhibition Unitary Enterprise “Belinterexpo” of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The national pavilion incorporates food manufacturers, IT companies, as well as ministries, medical, scientific and R&D manufacturing institutions and universities. They are showcasing products and latest developments which can be popular with the Chinese customers.
The most large-scale booth of the national pavilion is the booth of the Belarussian State Concern of Food Industry "Belgospischeprom". It demonstrates the products of 16 manufacturers of confectionary, alcoholic, fat-and-oil, brewing, sugar and canned products. In particular, there is a range of vodka developed specifically for China with 69 and 77% alcoholic content, produced from spring water with increased concentration of silver ions; specialty beer flavored with tropical fruits and spices; premium chocolate sweets; diet iron-rich child nutrition; cookies with vitamins and minerals and other products.
Among the participants of the national exposition are also Buyman Biotechnologies, Beltamozhservice, and Ekzon. Technologies and developments are demonstrated to the Chinese partners by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, including state universities; the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, including a number of scientific institutions and research and production institutions; the State Committee on Science and Technology.
Innovative solutions for the Chinese customers include smart LCD windows that can change their transparency level based on lightning and protect against UV rays; a computer simulation technology for potential COVID-19 remedies; best surface treatment practices for high-technology industries. There is more than a hundred of unique developments altogether.
Belarusian companies take part in the National Exposition of the Republic of Belarus at the CIIE 2021 online. This means that representatives of Exhibition Unitary Enterprise “Belinterexpo” of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry are working in Shanghai, and if there is interest in Belarusian products or services, they arrange a meeting for the parties by means of video conferencing. This allows facilitate comprehensive business negotiations at pre-arranged and convenient time.
On top of it, a virtual 3D booth of the Republic of Belarus will be available for online visitors until November 10. The focus is on the investment potential of Belarus, favorable business climate, presence of internationally recognized companies in Minsk and other cities, abundant cultural traditions, tourism and sports achievements. A detailed outline is given on the IT industry, implementation of a transit potential of a smart-platform, as well as individual industries: agriculture, machine building, and woodworking.

The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is a major multi-specialized exhibition event in China held since 2017 and consisting of dozens of related business events: workshops, conferences, business forums. Organizers of the exhibition are the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. Companies from more than 120 countries are taking part in the exhibition in 2021.
