A number of large-scale business events with the participation of Belarusian manufacturers will take place in the southern capital of Kazakhstan, the city of Almaty, early in November. National pavilions of Belarus will be featured as part of Kazakhstan major trade exhibitions of food products and packing, agricultural technologies and agricultural engineering.

The Belarus-Kazakhstan Agro Forum is confined to the exhibition arrangements, and it will allow experts from both countries obtain all necessary information on bilateral cooperation and trade. Participation of Belarusian companies in such practical business events, as the Retail Center and the Convention WORLD OF TRADE, will allow contacting importers and distributors directly, negotiating contracts and boosting export to Kazakhstan.

The venue for these events was chosen for a reason. Almaty is the country’s business and financial center with headquarters of major banks, key scientific institutions (including the National Academy of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan) and the leading universities. Key business partners of Belarusian companies and points of further distribution of import-export flows are also in Almaty. This most populated city of Kazakhstan is rightly called the country’s Southern Capital.

The events are also mainstreamed by anticipated integration of the Belarusian exposition at the Food Industry exhibition into a Plan of the National Exhibitions (Expositions) of the Republic of Belarus Abroad for 2021, thus allowing cut the participation costs. Over 20 companies are expected to showcase their products in the Belarusian exposition at this exhibition, including: Grodno meat-packing plant, Mogilev meat-packing plant, Babushkina krynka, Veles-Meat, Molochny Gostinets and others. Participants of the Belarusian exposition are offered a number of novelties – such as an option of remote online participation successfully tested this autumn at the exhibitions in Syria and Azerbaijan. A company which participates remotely will have their printouts and exhibits demonstrated in the booth. If interested in cooperation, the visitors will be able to hold negotiations with the company by video conferencing right in the booth.

Another novelty is the section Export Potential of Belarus with cost-effective demonstration of exhibits and offers from the Belarusian small and medium businesses. Besides, all participants of the exposition will have a chance to showcase at the virtual exhibition FoodExpo-online.

A large-scale congress event – the agro forum Belarus – Kazakhstan – will be held as part of the exhibition. The Forum will feature speeches of the representatives of branch ministries and departments, CEOs, experts and specialists, focused on organization of the practical “road map” to develop trade in agricultural products between two countries, enhance cooperation, build up supply chains and practical operating procedures. The Forum will also have its matchmaking-center where Belarusian and Kazakhstani participants will be able to find business partners according to their interests. Organizers of the Forum: the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Exhibition Unitary Enterprise “Belinterexpo” of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Belarusian business delegation will take part in a number of professional and business events. Traditionally, in preparation for efficient operation at the exhibition Belarusian specialists visit manufacturing and commercial facilities of the region and take part in the awareness-raising workshop and consultation tasked to study the regional specifics, to get insight into patterns of the local market and the price environment. This allows obtaining valuable practical knowledge and developing most effective strategies for negotiations in the booth. Besides, based on the company’s interests, meetings with business communities, business unions and state agencies will be organized in Kazakhstan for participants of the exposition shortly before the exhibition.

The project is implemented as part of the One Belt One Road strategy; it houses trade centers and stores for duty-free trade with the PRC, which also sell Belarusian products.
