At the end of the first day of the Belarus The Taste of Nature pavilion at the 14th International Sweets & Snacks Trade Fair Yummex Middle East and The Speciality Food Festival that opened on November 7 in Dubai, the Belarusian companies signed letters of intent and commercial contracts with business partners from the Middle East and Africa. The pavilion highlights the leaders of the Belarusian food industry and their best products.

One of the most recognized Belarusian dairy producers, Babushkina Krynka, demonstrates products with extended shelf life, which is a crucial factor for this region: milk powder and dry whey with a 24 months’ shelf life, and milk with a 9 months’ shelf life.

The pavilion also displays products of the Belarusian state food industry concern Belgospishcheprom, incorporating 57 food producers with a wide range of food products: confectionaries, sugar, oil and fat products, tobacco, beverages, food concentrates, infants food, honey, etc

The major company of the oil and fat industry in Belarus, Minsk margarine plant, showcases rape seed oil. This oil is believed to be an ingredient of a healthy diet: it contains 20 times more unsaturated Omega-3 fatty acids than sunflower oil.

The Belarusian leading producer of pastille and marmalade, Krasny pischevik, demonstrates an innovative product – creamed honey with a variety of fillings: cranberry, bilberry, strawberry, cherry, lemon and ginger. This honey is more smooth and easy-to-use compared to a regular one.

A wide range of confectionary is featured by the major Belarusian confectionary plants: Spartak, Slodych, Kommunarka, Konfa, Red Mozyryanin.

The range of products demonstrated at the exhibitions is ISO certified and also has Halal certificates.

On the first day of the trade fair Kommunarka confectionary plant signed a multiannual contract with an RSA company for supply of confectionary products into this country and the Gulf states. Minsk margarine plant and an UAE company reached an agreement for supply of rape seed oil.

The Republic of Belarus is a traditional participant of food trade fairs in the UAE. In February 2021 Belarus was represented by 25 food companies at Gulfood in Dubai. They showcased meat and dairy products, poultry and egg products, grocery and confectionary. As a result, contracts were concluded for the total of 7 USD Million with partners from 14 countries.

The exposition takes place with support of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus to the United Arab Emirates.

Over 400 companies from 41 countries take part in the international trade fairs Yummex Middle East and The Speciality Food Festival in 2021, and 17 countries feature national pavilions.
