UzAgroExpo and UzProdExpo exhibitions held in Tashkent on November 23 – 26, 2021 became a ground for new export achievements of the Belarusian companies. These exhibitions traditionally featured the national pavilion of Belarus which this time highlighted goods and services by 18 companies from food industry, farm-machinery industry and scientific technologies in agriculture. As a result of the meetings and negotiations, contracts to the total of 15 USD Million were concluded with Uzbekistan distribution networks and companies. Even more large-scale Belarusian expositions at industrial and food expositions will take place in Uzbekistan in the first half of 2022.

Groundbreaking food products and latest agricultural technologies were on display in the collective booth organized by State Committee on Science and Technology. Technologies were presented by the agencies of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus: Belarusian State University, Belarusian National Technical University, Belarusian-Russian University, and Belarusian State University of Food and Chemical Technologies. The visitors got acquainted with Belarusian coffee by Manrosti produced under a proprietary patented technology, as well as new products by the companies of concern Belgospischeprom: confectionary plants Kommunarka, Krasny pischevik, Slodych, Spartak, and distillery Brestsky likero-vodochny zavod “Belalko”.

The Belarusian pavilion featured machine building giants: Lidselmash and Minsk Automobile Plant, as well as food manufacturers Bellakt, Primemilk and Slonim Meat-Packing Plant.

During the exhibitions Slonim Meat-Packing Plant signed a contract for product delivery to Uzbekistan to the amount of 4.3 USD Million. Grodno Meat-Packing Plant – to the amount of 4.1 USD Million. Mogilev Meat Processing Plant – to the amount of 1 USD Million. Lidselmash concluded a contract for machinery delivery to Uzbekistan for more than 1.5 USD Million. Primemilk reached agreements for delivery of whey and fat concentrates and soft cheese for 3 USD Million. Manrosti concluded a contract for coffee delivery for 10 USD Thousand. Delivery agreements were also signed by Bellakt, confectionary plants Krasny pischevik and Slodych. Belarusian State University of Food and Chemical Technologies and Belarusian-Russian University signed letters of intent on cooperation with Uzbekistan business circles.

The Uzbekistan – Belarus Agro Forum was timed to coincide with the Belarusian pavilion and was held on November 24. The event brought together senior officials of relevant ministries and agencies from Belarus and Uzbekistan, representatives of Belarusian and Uzbek businesses, academic and stock-raising institutions, agro industrial experts from both countries. As a result of the meeting, a 1 USD Million contract for delivery of MAZ machinery to Uzbekistan was signed.

The formal opening of the Belarusian pavilion and the Agro Forum took place in participation of Mr. Alexey Bogdanov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus, Mr. Alisher Turaev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Director General of the National Center of Knowledge and Innovation in Agriculture, and Mr. Leonid Marinich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

UzAgroExpo and UzProdExpo in Tashkent highlighted 120 companies from 18 countries: Belarus, Germany, Denmark, Israel, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Korea, the Netherlands, the UAE, Russia, the USA, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, the Czech Republic.

The Belarusian national pavilion at the exhibitions in Uzbekistan and the Uzbekistan – Belarus Agro Forum was organized by Exhibition Unitary Enterprise “Belinterexpo” of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry with support and in active participation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Even more large-scale Belarusian expositions will be organized in Uzbekistan in the first half of 2022.

On March 29 through 31 Tashkent will hold the 21st International Exhibition on Food, Ingredients and Food Technologies – UzFood 2022. This is a major food trade show in Uzbekistan. 122 companies from 21 countries took part in the event in 2021, and the exhibition gathered over 4 thousand visitors.

On April 25 through 27 the International Industrial Trade Fair “Innoprom. Big Industrial Week in Uzbekistan” will take place in Tashkent. In 2021 the event welcomed 10 thousand visitors. Products were displayed by more than 100 exhibitors from 20 countries, and a hard-driving business program was held.
