The exhibition of Belarusian manufacturers Made in Belarus is opened within the framework of the Technology Exhibition Fair and Forum Cairo ICT, which takes place from 22 to 25 November 2020 in Cairo.
Cairo ICT is the key technological event, which unites suppliers, system integrators in information and communication technologies for such sectors as mechanical engineering, banking and financial services, education, energy, telecommunications, construction, defense and security, and others. This year the exhibition has gathered more than 400 companies from such countries as Russia, China, the United States, France, Germany, Italy, the UK, the Republic of Korea, and Saudi Arabia.
The opening ceremony was attended by President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Minister of Education of Egypt Tarek Shawki, Minister of Health of Egypt Hala Zayd.
At the Belarus pavilion visitors and partners will be able to appreciate the latest developments of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
The Belarusian State University presents developments for medical purposes: a complex of medical programs Cardiology, mathematical models for surgical practice, computer modeling for the creation of drugs against the SARS-CoV coronavirus.
The BSU also showcases the nanosatellite BSUSat, which has been successfully operating in orbit for over 700 days. The dimensions of the device are 20x10x10 cm3 and just over 1.6 kg kilograms of weight. With its small dimensions it has all the characteristics of large universal satellites: it is equipped with power supply, control, orientation and stabilization systems, telecommunications, technological and scientific payload complex. The satellite is equipped with a digital camera, radiation spectrometer, infrared detector and other special equipment. Its modules make it possible to conduct experiments on the assessment of solar activity, aircraft tracking, observation of natural and atmospheric phenomena.
The Joint Institute for Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus presents an intelligent micromodule for onboard recognition of surface and object images, as well as a cluster personal supercomputer UIIP-OFFICE, designed for complex scientific calculations, modeling, solving engineering problems and teaching parallel programming technologies.
The Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics demonstrates developments in the field of information security for enterprises of the banking and customs spheres. Film screens are designed for preserving information on monitors, displays and indication panels. They ensure protection of information against unauthorized collection by outsiders who are beyond the viewing angle of 10 degrees or more. Film screen is developed by the innovative technology ”microlouver“. It reduces stress on the user's eyes and protects display against external damage and dust.
The Belarusian-Russian University presents an information and advertising system ”Electronic Guide“ designed for public transport. Stops are announced and displayed automatically leaving the bus driver to concentrate on driving. The system can be integrated into existing information transfer systems. The audio information can be made available in several languages. Sound signal can be received on the FM receiver of any mobile phone, regardless of its type. Tourists will be able to find out information about the city and local residents - to learn about titles of theatre performance and movies, discounts in the nearest stores and other useful information.
As part of the work at the exhibition, the Belarusian exponents plan to hold negotiations with the representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency of Egypt.
The Belarus Pavilion is organized by Belinterexpo – the Exhibition Company of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event is supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
