The Made in Belarus exposition of the Belarusian manufactures has become the largest national pavilion at the International Industrial Exhibition Rebuild Syria, which opened on September 29 in Damascus. The exposition features seven Belarusian companies, showcasing goods and services highly demanded in the infrastructure and economy rehabilitation projects in Syria.
New tractors customised for high temperatures are demonstrated by one of the world’s leaders in farming machinery production - Minsk Tractor Works. MTW machinery is heavily marketed in Syria. As many as 2K tractors Belarus are already operating in the country.
Minsk Automobile Plant is demonstrating the capacity of its products. This flagship company of the Belarusian machine-building produces freight, passenger, trail and special vehicles. Minsk Motor Plant is presenting a series of contemporary diesel engines, spares and other products in Syria.
Brest Electrotechnical Plant is demonstrating railway automation facilities, telematics and communication facilities. The products of the plant are in full compliance with the demands of the local market because the Syrian railway infrastructure was designed based on the Soviet standards. The present day railway communication in Syria is destroyed by 80%, that is why its reconstruction is a critical government mission.
The Made in Belarus exposition also features European Agrarian Agency Spetsstroy. The company specialises in erection of buildings and structures (including multi-storied ones), disassembly and demolition thereof, sorting and processing of construction waste. Another line of the company’s activity is calf breeding and construction of commercial dairy farms. All this raised interest with the Syrian partners.
Belagro Bel – a group of companies delivering agricultural plants by a variety of producers - is a remote participant of the exhibition in Syria. Belagro Bel offers equipment maintenance, delivery of spare parts and personnel training.
Remote participation means holding negotiations with prospect business partners, while staying in Belarus. This is ensured by continuous operation of “Belinterexpo” employees who are present in Damascus and are introducing the Syrian visitors to the offers of the Belarusian participants.
Together with the Syrian partners, “Belinterexpo” plans a series of congress and exhibition events to be held in a hybrid format by turns in Syria and Belarus. Such events will allow representatives from various industries find business partners.
